Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Well done to the KS1 children who attended the EMET Sports Fundamentals Festival at Homefields Primary School yesterday.
Both Mr Clarke and I were so impressed with their participation, enthusiasm and behaviour at the event, such wonderful ambassadors for our school.
They took part in a range of activities including throwing, catching and ball skills. They all received a medal and a certificate for taking part
This afternoon we took part in the EMET swimming gala finals. Gilthill competed against 4 other EMET schools and I am so pleased to say...we won!
The whole team performed brilliantly with some fabulous personal performances and some great relay times. The children cheered each other on and worked so well together as a team. I really couldn't be prouder.
A huge well done to our District Sports team who competed today at the Harvey Hadden Stadium. They really were superb!
The children competed in their events with such determination and skill. We even brought home a few medals for our first, second and third places.
We didn’t place overall this year however we had a fabulous afternoon and we had fun! We are very proud of you Gilthill!
Yesterday, a representative from Dogs Trust came into school to deliver a whole school assembly and carry out some workshops with our KS2 children.
The children learnt about how to be safe around dogs, including how to read dog body language! I received a lovely email from Dogs Trust this morning saying how polite and welcoming our children were. They have also given us a certificate and shared some links to their website and workshops they have available. If you would like to find out more, please click on the links below.
Well done Gilthill. It is always lovely to her such positive feedback. We all learnt a lot about keeping ourselves safe when out and about in our local community.
