Thu 31 Mar 2022 Mrs Allison

Well done to the children in year 6 who graduated from their Life Skills Education program this week. The children put on a wonderful assembly to showcase what they had learnt from their drug, alcohol and resilience training. Well done Year 6.

  • RSE Parent Presentation Events

Fri 25 Mar 2022 Mrs Allison

Thank you to all parents who attended our RSE parent presentation events. The events were designed to give parents all of the information they needed about how we plan and deliver Relationship and Sex Education at Gilthill. A big thank you to Mrs Walton for organising and presenting at the event.

  • M&M Theatre Production

Tue 22 Mar 2022 Mrs Allison

The children were absolutely captivated by the M&M theatre productions version of the Railway Children. The company came into the school hall and transformed it into a magical stage. The children sat beautifully and really enjoyed the live theatre performance. We enjoyed it so much that the PTA have agreed to fund next years performance of The Hobbit.

  • Red Nose Day

Fri 18 Mar 2022 Mrs Allison

At Gilthill, our School Council plan our charity events. This year the children were keen to support Comic Relief and help people live free from poverty and discrimination. Children were allowed to come to school wearing a red top and any red accessories for a small donation to Comic Relief. We sold red noses and other Comic Relief merchandise throughout the week. We had red noses, red socks and even red hair! Well done to all the children at Gilthill and their families for supporting this worthwhile cause.

  • World Book Day

Thu 03 Mar 2022 Mrs Allison

*World Book Day at Gilthill Primary School*

What an amazing day at Gilthill celebrating World Book Day! We wanted to celebrate the day through the pages of magical tales and stories and we certainly did just that!

Our Year 5 and 6 children were writing their own Little Miss and Mr. Men books. Our lower juniors were designing book covers and blurbs for a story that they were the main characters in. Our KS1 and EYFS children were acting out their favourite stories using props and masks. Our staff team made a Masked Reader video. The children had great fun guessing who each character was.
