Term dates and INSET days 2023/2024
School Times:
Reception and Year 1 children
Children will be coming in through the same top gate. Gates will open at 8.40am and will close at 8.50am. Year 1 children will enter first, followed by Reception children. Could we please ask parents not to come to school any earlier than the set opening times.
Year 2 – 6
Both bottom gates will be opened at 8.40am until 8.50am. Children and their parents will be welcome on the playground at this time. Children can make their own way up the slope to their classrooms from 8.40am. This staggered time is designed to reduce any congestion going up the slope and prevent parents congregating on the main road outside the school grounds. Could we please ask parents not to come to school earlier than the set opening times. This is to ensure everyone’s safety. A member of staff will be on the playground from 8.40am when the gates open.
School end times
Reception and Year 1 children
Children will be leaving school via the top gate. The gate will open at 3.20pm where the reception children will be leaving first, followed by the Year 1 children.
Year 2
Both bottom gates will be opened at 3.20pm. Parents are welcome onto the site from 3.20pm. The Year 2 children will be brought down to the playground for parents to collect from 3.20pm.
Years 3-6
Children in years 3-6 will be brought down to the playground at 3.30pm for collection.
Teachers will only release children when they have seen their parents or carers. Could we please ask parents to collect and leave the playground promptly to prevent any congestion and ensure teachers can identify parents clearly.

Notes:
As much as possible we try to keep outdoor break times despite the weather, so please ensure that your child is suitably protected according to the season.
If your child is going to be absent or collected from school early, then please notify the Office or another member of staff as soon as possible (0115 9190611)
Please note that the school car park is closed to vehicles between 8.30am and 9.00am and between 3.00pm and 3.30pm unless by prior arrangement with the school. Thank you
