Welcome to the Reception Class

The children in Reception follow the Curriculum Guidance for the Early Years Foundation Stage – this is separate from the National Curriculum. 

The learning environment in the Foundation Stage gives the children opportunities to help them develop socially, emotionally, physically, morally and intellectually. In the Foundation Stage we promote active learning, through play, in seven areas of development:-
