Welcome to Year One!
In Year One there are lots of exciting topics, which are posted on this website every term.
This is what we will learn about this term.
The topic plan is useful as some parents like to tie in day trips, books for birthdays/Christmas and documentaries on TV etc. We will also post updates on Class Dojo of what we have been up to in class and what we will be looking forward to learning.
P.E
P.E lessons are on Monday and Friday please ensure your child has their full P.E kit in school. If we need outdoor P.E kit as the weather gets colder, we will let you know.
Homework
To help children develop confidence in their reading skills and a love of books, we would like children to read with an adult at home at least three times a week and use their reading diary to note when they have read.
For the first term as the children settle into Year One, we will not be setting homework but may set home learning tasks via Class Dojo.
